Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is the nationalized space agency dealing with rocket science and technology, and space exploration. It is one of the world’s largest government backed space agencies and is one of the most important reasons behind India’s rapid rise as a superpower. Since its inception in 1969, it has achieved countless milestones which are worth mentioning.  The Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) series of satellites that were launched by it into space using indigenous Satellite Launch Vehicles (SLVs) is termed as the world’s largest constellation of satellites in operation for civilian purpose. The most remarkable of its feats is the launch of the ‘Mangalyann’ deep space exploration vehicle on November 5, 2013 at a fraction of the cost of those previously launched by its counterparts in the developed countries. It is based out of Bangalore and carries out cutting edge, cost effective research and development work continuously.

Pay Scale:

The consolidated salary is Rs. 22, 600 including the grade pay. Other emoluments include a payment of Rs 19,820 per month. Additionally, appointed candidates shall be given House Rent Allowance, Transport allowance, etc. which shall be deducted for those availing of institutional housing and transit facilities.

Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Sriharikota and Thiruvananthapuram.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should have graduated either in arts/commerce/management/science/computer applications with first class distinction from a recognized university. He/she should be computer literate. Age limit is 18- 26 years.

Selection Process:

Candidates shall be shortlisted for a written test and interview round only after scrutiny of their academic performance and resume. The call letters shall be emailed to the qualified aspirants on the first week of October and the schedule shall be printed there itself.

There is an application fees of Rs 100.
